          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">This paper shows the results of the pressure distribution measurements on a rotor blade of horizontal axis wind turbine in case various yawed operation. The experiments are carried out in a wind tunnel with 2.4 m-diameter test rotor. In the measurements the power curve and pressure distributions are measured for each azimuth angle. Increasing of yaw angle, the power coefficient of the rotor decreases. The sign of yaw angle does not have any effect on the power performance. The aerodynamic forces are discussed by using axial and rotational force coefficients in each azimuth angle. In case of higher tip speed ratio, the blade section passing upstream side for yawed operation shows better contribution to the rotor torque than that of downstream side. In this tip speed range, the aerodynamic forces for 70% radius section seem to proportional to the attack angle. In case of lower tip speed ratio, the blade in downstream side does not contribute to rotor torque, and it seems to result from the separation.</datacite:description>
