As categories of librarians’ approaches, “building interpersonal relationships,” “being involved in the community,” “designing customized services” and “ informing their being and doing” were discovered. “Leadership of library managers” and “ librarians’ competencies and personalities” were identified as categories of intervening conditions in library contexts, and “small community,” “operational support by departments” and “financial support by a university administrator” in institutional contexts.
