In order to correct differences in teaching content, difficulty level,and grammatical lessons between the classes,a common textbook was introduced in 2019 based on the common teaching materials used in 2018. We clarify the educational purpose of and the course content shared amongst different German lessons in the German language courses at Mie University, so that each student can take German lessons according to their own specific needs. At the end of the spring semester in 2019, a questionnaire survey was distributed among students in order to understand their impressions of the textbook.
