 note = {application/pdf, This is a report on international exchange lessons conducted between schools in Owase, Mie and a school in Taiwan. In 2019, Mie University Higashikishu Satellite Campus（HSC） where 4 of the authors belong to, and Owase Board of Education started to cooperate to promote English education in Kata Elementary and Wauchi Junor High Schools, in response to local people's request to raise children who could be active citizens in both local and global communities. We designed the "nine-year curriculum" in which English was taught for 6 years in Kata and 3 years in Wauchi. After conducting the curriculum for 2 years, the teachers in Kata requested us to arrange international exchange lessons with a school abroad. They hoped for their students to experience to get across meaning in English. Xingda Elementary School in Taiwan was introduced and we supported 2 lessons in 2021. In 2022, a lesson was carried out between Wauchi and Xinda. Based on the questionnaire, 6 out of 9 students felt "I could get across meaning in English." To have all students feel to get across meaning, we will support the next exchange lesson scheduled in January, 2023.},
