| 内容記述 | Development spreads unplanned into surrounding areas and changes the surrounding land use with urbanization. It has become an important issue throughout the world. Indonesia’s capital is to be relocated from Jakarta to Borneo in 2024. Considering the globa l situation, we should be concerned not only about the site where the capital will be relocated, but also about the expansion and spreads of development and its impact on the surrounding area. On the other hand, Borneo a part of Sundaland biodiversity hotspot including threatened endemic primates the Bornean orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus). The expansion and spreads of development might to affected Bornean orangutan habitat. The purpose of this study was to find the impact of the new capital of Indonesia using Marxan and inVEST analysis that has commenced a relocation process to Borneo Island on the region and to discuss countermeasures for it. The study area is the East Kalimantan Province, located at the eastern part of Borneo Island. As a result, even if the planned area is developed in consideration of the human living area, the area that will become the orangutan's habitat might not need to be developed. Strong land use planning and regulations will need to be established. | |||||||
