Qualitative data were analyzed with reference to the content analysis of Graneheim and Lundman.[Results] There were 16 study participants, and the average interview duration was 51.5 minutes. From the verbatim transcripts, 243 codes were extracted. The codes were classified into four major categories: [Administrator toward ideal nursing], [Enriched patient support procedures], [Practice of team medicine not only by words], and [Peace of mind gained by the patient], 11 medium categories, and 34 subcategories.[Discussion] The impact of the opening of the medical treatment and supervision act ward on general psychiatric care was that, first of all, the nurses’ experiences in the medical treatment and supervision act ward deepened their learning, and the transfer of these nurses transmitted the philosophy, ideas, and psychosocial programs of the medical treatment and supervision act medical probation law to the general psychiatric
