The following results were obtained : 1. the consumption in gas (92), tap water (66) and hot water (69) was lesser by powder soap than by synthetic detergent (100), 2. the cost of powder soap was only one fifth of synthetic detergent, 3. no difference was observed for the sewage disposal between two, 4. the man-minutes for working time by synthetic detergent and powder soap were 495 and 456 respectively, but the working time required for each case was 80 and 88 minutes. Powder soap is cheaper and superior in detergency.
