They were investigated to improve the taxonomical categorization of Myxomycetes. These results clarified the following morphological characteristics of eight species developed in Korea. The capillital threads of all species examined were solid. There was not a big deffrrence in the surface ornamentation of the capillitial threads among the genera. The surface of the capillitial thread of many species is almost smooth or slightly roughened. The capillitial thread of Stemonitis splendens is typically roughened by irregular warty protuberance. The size of a spores of eight species ranges from 4-9 μm in diameter. The surface of the spores in many species have spinules like Comatricha elegans, or warts like Lamproderma arcyrionema. Other species have spines or reticulations. Sometimes, the surface of a spore of Comatricha nigra has both spinules and warts. Comatricha typhoides has two types of warts or spinules. Two to several warts on the surface of Lamproderma arcyrionema gather togather and form an irregular aggregated wart. The surface except protuberances in many species is usually smooth but Comatricha typhoides, Stemonitis axifera and S. splendens have many fine pits on the surface in addition to protuberances.
