The questions were determined by eight preliminaries stand positions, and a pre-test of 58 items was conducted. The results of the pre-test were condensed to 33 items and utilized in a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to 650 university students from eight universities in Japan. In total, 615 people replied to the questionnaire. The answers were derived using a five-step measurement method. The collected data were numerically processed and the average value and discriminate coefficient were computed. Using this data, we looked for the special characteristics inherent in the everyday lifestyle of students belonging to athletic clubs, recreational clubs and those not affiliated with clubs. From these results, I believe we can now predict behavior regarding choice of participation in sports. The following are the results : 1) Results from comparing the average value of the three groups show a significant difference in the four preliminaries stand positions of 'traditional events', 'hobby', 'time', and 'trends'. Among the three groups, a more significant difference was withnessed in male students than in female students. 2)Students belonging to athletic clubs do not necessarily have a positive attitude toward participation in traditional events. However, they accept traditional events and think that they should be passed on. Also, these students tend to act in ways that avoid the wasting of time. 3)Students belonging to recreational clubs seem to dread participation in traditional events. Moreover, they do not seem to feel that these traditions have to be passed on. These students tend toward using time effectively. 4)Students not affiliated with a club perceive that there is plenty of time. Also, the friends of these students, in the same way, have the sense that they are passing time efficiently.}, pages = {141--155}, title = {体育会所属学生と同好会所属学生のライフスタイルに関する比較研究 : 判別係数データから}, volume = {47}, year = {1996} }
