A potential overshoot is observed, and its dependence on several experimental parameters is measured. Those experimental results are compared with a theory which has the basis on the collisional equations of motion for charged particles and the equations of continuity of the current density under the plasma approximation. The solution for the potential shows a good agreement with the experimental results. It is shown that the slight charge density caused by the interruption of an electron current in the plasma has a significant role on making the potential overshoot.}, pages = {81--92}, title = {A Stationary Disturbance of a Magnetized Plasma Caused by a Floating Disk : The Case of Medium B/P}, volume = {7}, year = {1982} }
