Thin wide planes without and with a hole are subjected with concentrated or distributed load in some area or along a circular hole edge. The Caustics patterns for each case are obtained and the characteristics about the relationship between loading conditions and created patterns are made clear. Moreover, the creating mechanism of Caustics patterns is investigated analytically by taking the path of the reflecting light ray from the specimen into consideration.}, pages = {1--11}, title = {Study of Caustics Created in a Plane with Out-of-Plane Loads}, volume = {24}, year = {1999} }
