 note = {application/pdf, A number of methanol-utilizing yeasts were isolated from coastal water and sediments by five isolation methods. According to their morphological and physiological characteristics these strains were found to belong to Candida boidinii, Candida tropicalis, Torulopsis sonorensis and Torulopsis spp., respectively.
It was indicated that the most effective method for the isolation of various methanol-utilizing yeasts involved the use of a density gradients centrifugation, separating yeasts from suspended matter in seawater.},
