The summer evapotranspiration during 1988-1990 was about 4mm/d, and these values were 2-3mm/d in scanty-rain year 1987. A remarkable decrease of the summer evapotranspiration was observed in 1987. The potential evapotranspiration for the same period was calculated by PENMAN Eq., HAMON Eq. and THORNTHWATE Eq. respectively. Variations of these values for each method were contrary to the results of evapotranspiration estimated by the method of short-time peiod water-budget. The results sggest that additional factors are necessary to estimate the evapotranspiration.
