From now, the new farmers have made their appearance and have no farm assets at the beginning. This article intends to clarify such new farmers' lifestyles and views regarding agriculture,\nthough most of the former research has tended to see them as supply of agricultural labor force; new\nfarmers' novel thoughts and lifestyles could stimulate the traditional agricultural world to rethink its\nfixed idea. Several common characteristics resulted from intensive interviews with seven new farmers,\nalthough most of them are 'life-oriented', that is, not 'business-oriented'. The main findings are as follows. First, they want to completely control all aspects of business and life. They not only produce\nagricultural products but sell them. They of course produce their own food, in fact one of them has made his own home. Second, they are more personal rather than belonging to social groups. A few them sell products to their friends and acquaintances associated with their previous job. Third, they do not want to get involved with any social movement or things of that sort.
