Fishes collected by these nets were listed and the characteristics of ichthyofaunas along the cross section of the Kuroshio current and off the east, coast of the Okinawa Island were commented. A total of 298 fishes were classified into 36 families, >43 genera and >47 species; of these gonostomatid and myctophid fishes were abundant.
