The quality of strawberries, tomatos, and mandarin oranges produced in Mie prefecture were evaluated at the following five stages, i.e., the researchers of prefectural institute, the production body, the wholesale markets, the volume sellers and the consumer. The valuation patterns of importance were divided into three types roughly, regarding the side to which importance to is attached. Furthermore, the valuation patterns of importance varied largely in the wholesale markets located at the middle of the valuation class arrangement. The valuations by the consumers were most similar to those of the volume sellers, and comparatively close to those of the production body, too. The valuations in the research institute were close to those of the wholesale markets, but far different from those of the consumer.
