The additional effect of m-IPG on radiation inactivation of bacterio-phage ØX174 was examined. It was found that the radiation inactivation was reduced greatly by addition of 1mM of m-IPG. Then, with increase of concentration of m-IPG more than 1mM, the radiosensitization effect reached the elevel of no additive. Effects of polyamines such as putrescine, spermindine, and spermine on the radiosensitization of m-IPG were examined. All the polyamines reduced radiosensitizing effect on the lethality and inhibition of DNA synthesis of E.coli B by m-IPG.
