The seminar was given by Mr. KIMURA Yukihiko, the head of the curators at Kyoto City Reizan Museum. Following that, the group visited and studied several sites in Kyoto that survive from this period. The participants learned about the way of life and thinking of the reformers, for example SAKAMOTO Ryoma, who played a significant role during the period of the Meiji Restoration, which is the foundation of modern Japan.
