The data of our experiment was stored on the database for the literature research about a hgaiku master, Matsuo Bashou. The weight direction code histogram method on 64 elements was used for feature extraction from character pattern. The distinct drawing individuality of writer was found on the following kana character \"wo\", \"re\", \"na\". Which was unknown among researchers of Basho.
