生徒会活動は，中学校と高等学校において教育課程上「特別活動」の内容の一つに位置づけられており，その課題は，生徒たちが学校生活をよりよくするための活動へと実際に参加することによる実践的な学習の保障である．当然ながら，この課題へのアプローチには，そうした活動や学習を促す教師の指導が欠かせない．したがって，大学の教員養成教育においては，そうした指導が可能な教師を育てることが課題となる． 筆者は，生徒会活動に関する大学授業を担当しており，受講生のうちに生徒会執行部役のグループと教師役のグループを設け，両グループに所属する学生以外の受講生も含め，相互に交流しあう活動に取り組んでいる．本稿は，この筆者による授業の事例をもとに，教員養成教育において生徒会活動に関する授業にいかなる諜題があるかを探るものである．
In Japan, “student council activities” are categorized as “special activities” in the curriculum of junior high schools and high schools. The purpose of student council activities is to enable practical learning through participation in activities for improving school life. It is necessary for teachers to provide guidance to facilitate such activities and learning. Therefore, one of the missions of teacher training education in universities is to educate students to become teachers who can provide such guidance. I am in charge of university classes dealing with student council activities. In each class, the students form two groups. One group undertakes the role of the executive of the student council. The other group undertakes the role of the teacher. All students including the members of the two groups interact with each other in these classes. In this paper, based on a case study of these classes, I investigate the issues related to classes on student council activities in teacher training education.
