This study reports the outcome of a questionnaire-based research, which was conducted with companies and organizations that accepted international students as interns. The objective of the research was to find what abilities are required for international students to work for the Japanese companies and organizations.The results indicated that the companies and organizations think that many international students need to improve their Japanese language proficiency.
