C.Chuang [4] proved in 1985 that the order of Wronskian defined by a meromorphic function ƒ and small functions for ƒ is equal to the order of ƒ. Moreover he extended some results about deficiencies in Nevanlinna theory to the case of small functions. He obtained that result by making use of the inversion of a linear differential polynomial. In this paper we give another proof based on Sylvester's theorem.
