内容記述 | Effect of the temperature of the orifice plate on the rarefied gas flow through a circular has been investigated experimentally. The unsteady approach is adopted, in which the decay of pressure in an upstream chamber is measured as a function of time. Flow rate decreases as the temerature of the orifice plate increases, in proportion to a square root of the ratio between gas temperature and the plate temperature. Also the direct simulation Monte-Carlo method is applied in order to analyze the effect theoretically. In spite of the finiteness of the simulation space due to the limitation of computer capacity for three dimensional extent, the results of the simulation are in good agreement with the experimental results. Decrease of mass-flow by increase of the temperature of the orifice plate is clearly noticed even by the small area of high temperature that is only three times as large as a cross-sectional area of the erifice. | |||||||||||||||||
