| 内容記述 | The revision of the Japanese immigration law in 1990 has madeit much easier for foreigners with Japanese ancestry to be accepted to live in Japan. Therefore, We have also seen an inflow of many other foreigners into the country. So we are now facing educational problems concerning the children accompanying their parents who have settled down in Japan. Some couldn't be admitted to enter Japanese schools and others have stopped attending their classes for various reasons. Others have difficulties to follow their classes due to their inadequate Japanese language ability, though they are in a Japanese public school and have learned daily-life Japanese. The average percentage of foreign children continuing their studies at higher schools is apparently lower then that of Japanese children. Considering these and various other problems, we are now obliged to stress the need for better educational surroundings for foreign children in Japan. | |||||||||
