Surveys were conducted to investigate the knowledge and confidence of cooking procedures among college and vocational school students. Total of freshmen and graduating students who participated in the surveys were 1,149 and 943, respectively. The respondents were categorized based on their frequency of cooking and whether they took cooking classes. The knowledge and confidence of cooking procedures were affected based on the cooking opportunities among students. Therefore, students who took cooking classes and had higher frequency of cooking exhibited higher knowledge and confidence of cooking procedures.
