| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は、一般病棟の短期入院病棟に勤務する臨床看護師が、対象者をどのように捉えているのか、すなわち、看護師が患者をどのような存在として理解しているかということと看護師が患者を理解するための方法を明らかにすることである。 短期入院病棟で勤務する臨床看護師17名を対象に、半構造化面接法を行い、データを質的帰納的に分析した。 その結果、351カテゴリーから40サブカテゴリー、8カテゴリー、3コアカテゴリーが抽出された。 臨床看護師は、患者を過去からの時間軸の中で、今ここにいる存在である『見出す患者の真像』として、また、今後もその人らしく生きるためのケアへの手がかりともなる、家族を含めた患者の現在から未来にいたる姿を『これからも生きてゆく患者の姿』として捉えていた。さらにもう一つのコアカテゴリーである『理解への礎』は患者を理解するための基礎となるものであり、患者を捉える方法でもあった。 臨床看護師は、自己の看護観をもとに患者との信頼関係を構築する関わりの中で、患者を理解していた。捉えた患者の姿は、患者理解を深めるために用いられ今後に向けたケアへの手がかりとして活かされていた。 看護師が患者を捉えることは、ケアとしての機能を含むものであるといえる。 |

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to clarify what patients are to nurses, and how nurses understand and relate to patients. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 clinical nurses who work in short-term admission wards. Collected interview data was analyzed qualitatively. As a result of analysis, 351 codes, 40 subcategories, 8 categories, and three core categories were extracted. Clinical nurses recognize patients as the “true image of the patient” which is the nurses' understanding of the culmination of the patient's life to this point, and as “future view of the patient” which is how they view the patient from this point forward. The third core category “foundation to understanding” is a base and a method which can be used to help nurses understand patients. Clinical nurses understand that their ability to construct patient relations based on mutual trust is in turn based on their views of nursing. The figures of patients assist nurses to understand patients more clearly, and nurses' understanding of the patient can be used as clues for future care. Nurse's understanding patients is a part of caring. |
