| 内容記述 | タキサン系抗がん剤には末梢神経障害の副作用があり，患者にとってはQOLを著しく損なう問題である．しかし，「しびれ」や「感覚の低下」を主とする末梢神経障害には有効な対処方法がないのが現状である．本研究では，乳がん，卵巣がんの女性において，パクリタキセルを用いた化学療法を施行中の患者9名に対して，パクリタキセルによる末梢神経障害に対する温灸の効果を検討した．温灸は患者自身が週3回，12週間にわたり貼付した．治療効果に関しては，モノフィラメント圧痛覚試験，NRS, POMS, SF8TMを用いて評価した． 結果，NRSにおいて，介入1～2週目の「しびれ」，「感覚の低下」に有意な低下を認めた．以上より，パクリタキセルによる末梢神経障害に対して，温灸治療はしびれ出現早期に有効な可能性が示された． |

| 内容記述 | Peripheral neuropathy induced by taxanes is a common side effect and reduces patients quality of life. Prior attempts to reduce these side effects, mainly numbness, dysesthesias, paresthesias, have been unsuccessful. We evaluated whether there is benefit for peripheral neuropathy induced by paclitaxel using fireless moxibustion. Weve examined 9 patients treated with paclitaxel with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, individually. The patients put fireless moxibustion by themselves 3 times per week and continued for 12 weeks. Neurological assessment were performed by Semmes-Weistein monofilament test, NRS, POMS and SF8TM. As a result, there was a statistically significant reduction in the severity of peripheral neuropathy as measured by NRS. In conclusion, the result suggests that fireless moxibustion treatment may reduce the severity of peripheral neuropathy induced by paclitaxel, especially during early phase of these side effects. |
