我々は、細胞外基質タンパクであるデコリンが、骨肉腫細胞の肺転移を協力に抑制し、乳癌の骨転移も抑制することを発見した。さらに、デコリンの抗腫瘍効果発現最小領域を検討したところ、コアタンパクのLeucine-rich repeat内のTGF-β結合部位である事を明らかにした。デコリンは生体内に細胞外基質タンパクとして大量に存在する""ありふれたタンパク""であるが、安全な抗腫瘍薬となる可能性があることがわかった。 |

We discovered that decorin suppress lung metastasis of osteosarcoma and bone metastasis of breast cancer. Furthermore, we showed that minimum active region for anti-tumor effect may be the TGF-b binding site which exists in the core protein of decorin. Decorin is a natural product and has no immunogenicity. Therefore, these results suggest that decorin represents the new therapeutic modality to prevent pulmonary metastasis in osteosarcoma. |
