| 内容記述 | 江戸時代から明治・大正期に掛けての、紀伊半島を拠点とする海民、特に女性の潜水漁業者＝海女たちが、居住する村を離れて盛んに出稼ぎに赴く活動の実態と出稼ぎ先への影響、その歴史的な変容過程を分析した。また、関連史料を集め、データベース化した。江戸時代には、漁業資源が枯渇した時や初心者の修業目的で、熊野灘や房総半島へ赴く出稼ぎが一般的であったが、明治期以降には海藻需要の増大と中国への海産物輸出の活発化により、出稼ぎ形態は一気に広域化し、規模も拡大する。だがそれは、居村の生産構造を単純化させることにもつながったのである。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | I analyzed the actual situations of the women divers who based on the Kiipeninsula and went to other districts as migrant workers in the periods between Edo (Tokugawa) and Meiji-Taisho, with references to the historical changes.In addition,I compiled the historical materials I had collected for the study into a databese. In the Edo period it was common to emigrate to the nearby seashores in time of poor resource or for the educational purpose of training beginners. However, as the seaweed demand increased from the late Edo period, especially in the Meiji period when the export to China became active,, migrant workers increased and their destinations were extended to the Korean Peninsula. This change also made their incomes increase,But,as a result, the original variety in the production structure of a fising community became simplified. | |||||||||
