| 内容記述 | アロー戦争（1856-61）後の清朝では、垂簾聴政と呼ばれる政治体制が実施され、六歳で即位した同治帝に代わり、東西の両皇太后が政策を決めた。本研究では、19世紀後半の清朝中央における政策決定過程を検討し、垂簾聴政の構造と特質について考察した。そこでは公文書に加え、当時の官僚の日記や書簡を利用して政策決定に至る過程を復元し、垂簾聴政期と光緒帝による親政時期のそれぞれにおいて、西太后がもっていた権限について分析した。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | After the Second Opium War, there was a principal reform in the Qing Dynasty: the start of “rule from behind the curtains” (Tuilian Tingzheng 垂簾聴政). When Emperor Tongzhi 同治帝 became emperor, when he was six years old. In this political structure, Empress Dowagers Cian 慈安 and Cixi 慈禧 decided policies. In this study I explore the process of policy making at the heart of the Qing dynasty in the second half of the 19th century, and the system and its characteristics of “rule from behind the curtains.” I reconstructed the processes of policy making, by using diaries and letters of the officers, official documents, and analyzing the rights of Empress Dowager Cixi under “rule from behind the curtains” and that of her under direct rule by Emperor Guangxu 光緒帝. | |||||||||
