| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to describe the function of "Eeto" in terms of discourse structure. The results obtained from observing the usage of "Eeto" in current elementary and intermediate Japanese texts and the "Corpus of Everyday Conversation of Japanese"（CESJ）provided by the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics, show the function of "Eeto" in discourse construction. "Eeto" is to provide an explanation about the topic in the discussion. In addition, as the appearance environment of "Eeto" is observed the co-occurrence of question words in response to interrogative sentences（in the Japanese text corpus）and with interrogative words（inthecorpus）. Furthermore, the utterer of "Eeto" is the information holder, and the utterances that follow "Eeto" are often involved in the direction of the discourse, so "Eeto" is the information holder who can control the discourse. A certain speaker mentioned that it is a form that can be used. | |||||||||
