| 内容記述 | 補完代替医療は、人間を統合的にとらえ自然治癒力を高め、人々のQOLやwell-beingを図ることを目的にしている。これは看護ケアにも当てはまる概念である。そのため、補完代替医療のうちの補完療法を看護技術として活用できるものと考える。特に、高齢社会における高齢患者や慢性疾患患者の増加に伴い、西洋医学と併用して補完療法を活用することは重要である。 そこで、補完代替医療を使用している英国、中国、タイにおいて実態調査を行い、看護技術としての補完療法の可能性を検討したので、報告する。 英国：補完療法（アロママッサージ、指圧、想像療法など）、サポート療法（精神・心理療法、機能食品を含んだ栄養指導、グループワーク）、セルフヘルプ療法（リラクゼーション、イメージ療法、呼吸法、軽運動など）は、患者や家族のQOLを高めるためのセルフケア教育支援として活用できる。 中国：薬草・小石を使用した足浴、温・冷湿布、ツボ（経穴）刺激（指圧、電気刺激、温灸）、マッサージなどは症状緩和に活用可能である。 タイ：タイマッサージ、薬草料理、薬草湿布（数種の薬草を混合し、布で丸めたもの）、薬草足浴、薬草サウナなどの活用ができる。 以上の調査結果から、今後これらの補完療法を実践し成果を出していくことが期待される。 |

| 内容記述 | Complementary and Alternative Medicine is to restore the body’s natural equilibrium and balance through the holistic care approach in order to keep or get better Quality of life or well-being. It can be a concept of nursing care. Therefore, complementary therapy which is one of Complementary and Alternative Medicine is thought to better nursing skill. Particularly in an increase of elderly patients with chronic disease, complementary therapy is useful to keep their QOL or well-being in the combination with western medicine. As we had the information of complementary therapy in England, China and Thailand through our visits on three countries, we report the discussed results related to their complementary therapies for possible use as nursing skill. England: There are complementary therapy (such as aromatherapy, figure pressure, image therapy), support therapy (such as psychotherapy, nutrition therapy, groupwork), and self-help therapy (such as relaxation, breath therapy, exercise) China: There are foot bathing with small stones and Chinese herb, massage, and electric stimulation or figure pressure on the body spots of eastern medicine. Thailand: There are Thai massage, herb ball, herb sauna, herb foot bathing, and exercise In the future, it is expected to examine the effectiveness of their complementary therapies. |
