| 内容記述 | The Center for International Education and Research held the second faculty development meeting following the last year on “To Teach in English.” This year, the first activity was a brain storming on the topic. The participants were divided into four groups with five or six faculty members in each. Everybody freely wrote their pro and con opinions on to teach in English and not to teach in English using Post-it and pasted them on large white papers without questions and arguments. There are four categories: 1. Opportunities & merits of teaching in English, 2. Demerits & risks of not teaching in English, 3. Demerits & risks of teaching in English and 4. Opportunities and merits of not teaching in English. The contents of each category were classified under subtopics and listed in this report. It is expected that the report stimulates further discussions among the faculty members and leads to the creation of graduate courses taught in English at Mie University. |
